On Tuesday, April 7th, we will be focusing on the less-spoken but extremely important topic of failure. Join us as we discuss how any sized organization can embrace failure, learn from their mistakes, and lead their teams to growth.
We will be hosting Berkeley-Haas entrepreneurship and innovation Senior Fellows, John Danner and Mark Coopersmith. John and Mark are luminaries in the areas of growth and entrepreneurship, and have pioneered a framework for transforming failure into innovation.
For this night only, they will be introducing their newly launched book: “The Other “F” Word: How Smart Leaders, Teams, and Entrepreneurs Put Failure to Work”. The book includes interviews with some 60 high-level executives and entrepreneurs— such as Google, DuPont, UCSF Medical Center, startup guru Guy Kawasaki, and even our very own RocketSpace CEO Duncan Logan—who share their own experiences with failure.

John Danner
John teaches innovation, entrepreneurship, strategy, and leadership at the University of California Berkeley and Princeton University. He and his wife live in Berkeley, CA and New York City.
Mark Coopersmith
Mark is a Senior Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, he teaches innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership to students and executives from around the world. He and his family live in Tiburon, CA.
